Explanation of Application Status Terms

Here’s what each status means:

1. Application Status

  • Applied:
You have successfully submitted your application for the laptop scheme. Your details are now in the system.
  • Verified:
Your application and academic details have been checked and confirmed by your university’s focal person (usually a designated official handling the scheme).
  • Disapproved:
Your application has been rejected by the university for reasons such as:
    • Incorrect academic details
    • Incorrect admission dates
    • Misconduct
    • Administrative issues, etc.
  • Accepted for Merit List:
Your record is valid and will be considered for the merit list (Provisional & Final).

2. Merit Status

  • Selected:
Congratulations! You have been selected on merit for the award of a laptop.
  • Not Selected:
Unfortunately, you are not selected, usually due to not meeting the eligibility criteria during merit list generation.
  • Asset Issued:
You have already received a laptop under any current or previous phases/schemes.
    • Note: If you think this is incorrect, contact your university’s focal person.
  • Waiting:
You are on the waiting list. This means:
    • You may get selected if someone from the main list is dropped due to any issue (policy violation, fake info, etc.).
    • This is not a guarantee of selection, but there is still a chance.
  • Not Eligible:
After the university’s verification and corrections, it was found that you do not meet the eligibility criteria.
  • N/A:
Your record is not yet processed for the merit list. This usually means the university has not uploaded or finalized the provisional/final merit list.

What To Do If You Face Issues?

  • If your application status is Disapproved, Not Eligible, Asset Issued (but you haven’t received a laptop), or N/A for a long time, contact your university’s focal person or scheme coordinator.
  • Always double-check your details before submitting queries or complaints.
